A friend of mine from Middlebury just began her own year of exploration with a Compton Mentor Fellowship. Angela Evancie is creating multimedia portraits out of the Champlain Valley in Vermont and she's created a site to host her work, called Champlain Sounding. Her most recent postings center around "Greening the Afterlife," probing the question: "So what’s the best way to return to the earth, to green the afterlife? And who is partaking?" Check out the way she combines stunning photography with poignant audio!
"Champlain Sounding is a conversation about this thing - this movement, this trend, this religion, this burden - called environmentalism. Everyone has something to say, but certain voices often get drowned out. These multimedia portraits, created in the Champlain Valley, bring such voices to the fore."
